Panch Ishwaram is a set of 5 temples around the coastal border of Sri Lanka dedicated to Lord Shiva and is also an important part of the Ramayana Yatra. The 4 temples that you will be visiting are located in the scenic port cities of Chilaw (west), Mannar (north-west), Jaffna (north) and Triconmalee (east). Nuwara Eliya is another province that houses the famous Hanuman and Seetha Amman temple near the Ashok Vatika, thus adding to the list of important shrines of the Ramayana Yatra.

Along with the religious sites of the Ramayana circuit, we will also visit some important spots of the Buddhist circuit. The most famous is the sacred city of Anuradhapura which houses the Sri Maha Bodhi Tree which was planted from the cut piece of the original Bodhi Tree under which Gautam Buddha meditated and achieved enlightenment. The other two sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in Dambulla and Kandy. The Dambulla Caves are the most extensive cave temple complex with several carved sculptures of Lord Buddha, Lord Vishnu, and several kings. The sacred city of Kandy is famous for housing one of the most priced shrines in Buddhist Culture - the Tooth Relic temple.

Adding to the list of Heritage sites is the Galle Fort located in the southern part of this island country. Explore the Dutch-style monuments in this fortified coastal city to get an insight into the colonial lifestyle of Sri Lanka.
