Introducing our Kashmir Backpacking itinerary filled with adventure and leisure; making it a trip which in which you can enjoy the best of both worlds. We’re all well aware of the popularity of Kashmir and keeping that in mind we’ve formulated the best itinerary for you.
Kashmir is not only North India’s most popular destination but is quite famous amongst backpackers from all over the country.
We start our journey in the beautiful capital of Srinagar. A hub for leisure, you can spend your time here enjoying the houseboat accommodation and a shikara ride on the dal lake during the sunset. For some more adventure, we explore the city of Kashmir and also give you personal time and space to do so on your own!
Moving from Srinagar, Gulmarg is another sought after destination in Kashmir. With the snow clad mountains surrounding this valley, a ride on the gondola along is a must. You also get to visit the Affarwat peak.
After exploring the popular destination, we head out to explore the off beat destinations in Kashmir. On top of the list is Gurez. Once an important location on the ancient Silk Route, Gurez Valley now is the least explored tourist destination in this region. Here, we visit the last town of India on the Pakistan border- Tailal. Along with that we get to witness the beauty of Habba Khatoon Peak and Habba Khatoon Spring!
The journey doesn’t end until we visit the valley of Aru, Betab and Chandwari! These valleys are dotted with beautiful meadows where we can witness the lifestyle of Kashmiri nomads who still rely very much on grazing their cattle and horses on these meadows!
And of course how is a trip to Kashmir complete without visiting the Saffron field in Pampore and Awantipora! That’s definitely how we would like to explore Kashmir.
