There is no airport in Pangong Lake; therefore, therefore, flying there is no option. Nevertheless, at a distance of 142 kilometres, Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh is the closest airport. Major Indian cities, including New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai, are connected to it. Visitors can use a bus or cab to Pangong Lake from Rimpoche Airport Leh.
A massive network of road connects Pangong Lake to all of Leh and Jammu & Kashmir cities. From Leh, you must go across the Changla Pass and the Tungsti Pass, two of the highest motorable passes. Buses from the State Road Transport Company frequently travel to Pangong Lake. Apart from that, you may also go around using a cab, jeep, or private car. But first, make sure your vehicle has adequate fuel. Otherwise, there are no gas stations close to Pangong Lake.
There is no direct rail link to get to Pangong Lake by train. Nonetheless, Srinagar Train Station is the one closest to Pangong Tso. The distance to that railway station is 385 kilometres. This railway station serves several trains travelling between Banihal and Bagdam. One may rent a taxi to Pangong Tso from Srinagar Train Station or take a bus to Leh and then a bus from Leh to Pangong Tso.
